{NOTE: This thread of the blog is full. You can continue to review the comments made to date. However, to add your comments or start discussion on a new topic or issue, please scroll up to: "ELECTION CENTRAL: Comments On All Elections" (August 23).}The thread below “It’s Official: Townley vs. Kelly” is getting very long (200+ comments). So we are opening a new thread to continue discussion and comments about the elections for County School Board. Please use this thread for future comments about the general topic of School Board elections. We are closing the original thread.
To get up to date on the School Board elections discussion, scroll down and review the thread Townley vs. Kelly.
Also, if you are interested in commenting on any of the current issues in our School System, use this thread. Some of you have e-mailed asking us to provide space to comment on the “shenanigans” that seem to be going on with certain School Board members exerting their influence to “protect” students/athletes involved in law and order discretions. There may be other education issues with impact on the elections.
Don’t forget to vote in our “School Board Straw Poll” on the thread just below this one. We will give you an update on how the voting stands on August 5. Voting will continue through September 3.
