Politically Homeless

This blog is created as a forum for the increasingly large number of voters in Marion County, Florida who consider themselves to be "Politically Homeless". We are individuals who are frustrated with political parties and discouraged by "politics as usual". Many of us have no registered party affiliation. Others stay registered with a party only to vote in primaries, but no longer identify with the party's current political direction. We encourage you to post your comments.

Obama Mania! Will It Last?

The Obama train seems to be on track in beating Hillary Clinton to the nomination station. Pundits are offering comments, pro and con, about Barack Obama’s almost super-star popularity. Some call it cult-like and others compare him to President Kennedy. Whichever side of the argument you are on, Obama has the media’s attention and is the current “political darling”. Click on the link to a recent article about the Obama phenomenon:

http://www.slate.com/id/2184611/

Will this popularity last or will the media turn on Obama? Is Hillary Clinton’s campaign pretty much “dead in the water”? How do the Republicans contend with the Obama machine?

Just a few questions to get the discussion started.

Voice of Reason says . . .

One of the ways that America has been "dumbed down" is through indoctrination programs like Sesame Street. A main purpose of that show was to indoctrinate "throw away" white children that Black men are completely wonderful. This show runs damage control for the majority of black men who are in prison or goldbricking at government jobs. If you need examples, look to the local police chief and the school board.

"Throw away" children are children who have parents who shove them in front of a TV while the mom puts on make-up for work. She then splashes some milk in a bowl of Captain Krunch for breakfast and then kicks them out the door to ride the government "YellowHound" bus to the government school. (I forgot to mention that she shoves a Hormel "Lunchables" full of mechanically separated chicken and preservatives into a lunch bag with a jumbo bag of FunYuns and a Snickers Bar for desert.)

No to just pick on the mom, the dad of throw away kids spends all of his time keeping keenly abreast of every word that comes out of the mouth of the ESPN idiots on Sportscenter. These sportscasters are constantly talking about sports stars, the majority of which are black.

When the kids get home, they are again left in front of a TV set. During those hours, the kids are inundated with the MTV culture of new money rappers who have transfered wealth from working parents through the throw away kids buying CDs and stupid looking hats and jewelry.

Most commercials have a real stupid white guy who is outsmarted, gets beat, or is shown to be less capable than the black guy or the woman in the commercial. Ex., the nerdy white guy who wore a Miami Dolphins Ricky Williams shirt and hid in Ricky William's bushes waiting for a chance to see him and maybe get an autograph; the black male actor in the Allstate commercials that goes around telling yuppies how to be responsible (like they need to be told how to be responsible); the federal law that requires that every movie have either Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, or Samuel L. Jackson in it; etc.

So, there has been a concerted effort by liberals, NAACP, Oprah, the Ad Council and the federal government to propagandize the myth of the black male.

Add onto that the racism of minorities who will vote based on race.

The result, the most liberal and inexperienced senator is getting big media attention - Osama mania.

The good news is that the conscientious majority who are concerned about the country will vote for McCain.

The blog question--will the media turn on him? NO!

They want a Democrat as President.

The mobs of people attending an Obama rally look very young and impressionable. You have to wonder how many are even old enough to vote.

I saw a couple of interesting names from Florida politics mentioned as VP candidates.

Bill Nelson is being mentioned as a potential vice presidential pick for Hillary Clinton and Bob Graham as Obama's VP. Graham sure does have experience beating Charlie Crist in Florida!

How about Obama and Charlie Crist as his vice prez. They are both all talk and no action.

Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, is under fire for leaving the impression that she hasn’t been proud of her country until now, when Democrats are beginning to rally around her husband’s campaign.

Speaking in Milwaukee, Wis., on Monday, she said, “People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and...for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.”

Really a classy statement!! Hillary is looking better to me.

If she doesn't like America, she should give back the government money that helped her get the fine education she has. Too bad she feels so un-American. What branch of service did her husband serve in?

All the political news shows say Hillary Clinton must win 57 percent of the remaining primary and caucus delegates to eliminate Obama's lead. I don't think she will do it.
