Politically Homeless

This blog is created as a forum for the increasingly large number of voters in Marion County, Florida who consider themselves to be "Politically Homeless". We are individuals who are frustrated with political parties and discouraged by "politics as usual". Many of us have no registered party affiliation. Others stay registered with a party only to vote in primaries, but no longer identify with the party's current political direction. We encourage you to post your comments.

I love the comments! i didn't know our county had so many people with a good sense of humor. Politics here has always seemed too seroious for me.

You need to advertise this website. I bet there are many people who would like to add to the comments. I'm an NPA and don't really have any club etc. to find out about local politics. This is good.

I wish we had the money to advertise this blog. However, word of mouth has been are main method for advertising. If you have any other ideas to promote the blog, please post them or e-mail us at:

Thanks

My neighbor who is a republican told me about this blog. I'm a democrat and like the fact this blog does not seem to favor one party over the other. Hope it stays that way.

This is a great way to communicate on politics--24/7! I have added my comments to a couple of issues.

I just discovered the blog from talking with a friend. Some very good comments are given by people using this blog.

Is our political machine in Washington D.C. becoming more centrist? Recent events might lead you to consider this a possibility: 1. The nomination of federal judge John Roberts by President Bush to join the U.S. Supreme Court. 2. Passage of the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). 3. Bill Frist recommending an expansion of stem cell research. 4. The liberal side of the Democratic Party becoming vocally irritated with Hillary Clinton for her membership in the moderate-leaning Democrat Leadership Council (DLC).

All of a sudden the far left and right seem to be feeling a bit “out of it” in their ability to influence extreme positions on key issues. Just watch the reactions of the Nancy Pelosi and Rick Santorum types and you can sense this.

There are politicians who read what's on the blog. A few have mentioned it to me.
